Oma Beaurepaire, like brunch at any time of day

While Lionel Richie sang'All night long' in 1983,Oma Beaurepaire's all-day-long menu features classic American breakfast and brunch dishes for all hours of the day. Or Mediterranean. Or perhaps a little of both?

Opened to replace the late Le Mellotron, which once delighted our Saturday evenings, Oma Beaurepaire is the brainchild of the vivacious Omayma, supported by her husband and a four-star team. Just a stone's throw from Place de la République, you'll find , a new restaurant with pastel tones, refined decor and a small glass roof under which to dine in daylight.

Open every day from 8.30am to 10. 30pm, it's the place to come for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and even dinner. With a single menu for all these gourmet moments, featuring the must-haves of the genre, such as eggs Benedict (14€),avocado toast (14€), pancake stack (14€) or French toast (14€), topped with an abundance of goodies - red fruit versions, banana-chocolate, caramel-chocolate or our pistachio-raspberry favorite, with airy chantilly, toasted pistachios, fresh raspberries and pistachio praline (homemade, please!).).

In any case, the entire menu is homemade, with the exception of the viennoiseries, which are sourced from local shopkeepers to ensure a short supply chain. Still on the sweet side, the citrus carpaccio (€10) offers a real rejuvenation with its orange blossom vinaigrette.

The restaurant takes great pleasure in twisting these breakfast and brunch classics with Mediterranean touches and well-placed oriental spices. So it's not surprising to find a shakshuka (15€), a generous kefta meat burger (16€) or a sun bowl with semolina and chicken dumplings.

Vegetarians are also catered for, with the possibility of transforming most dishes into a vegan version, as are vegans who can opt for vegan milk in their latte (6€). With the exception of hot chocolate (7€), prepared the old-fashioned way!
