How about transforming the traditional galettes bretonnes into an Armorican fast-food restaurant, with a twist? Between the Gare du Nord and the Opéra Garnier, Galetezen delights with homemade recipes and wild parties.

You'll love Brittany! So it was only natural for Maogad to set up his own Breton restaurant. But at his young age, with his brother Kendiern and his friends Aymeric and Nicolas, the young Celtic wanted to add a touch of modernity by transforming traditional buckwheat pancakes into a takeaway version, rolled up like wraps!

And at Galetezen (galettes in Breton, as you'd expect), we aim to be a healthy fast food restaurant, with locally sourced produce and homemade recipes suitable for all, including a plant-based version.

When we visited at the end of October, there were six to suit all tastes, with the typical Emmental ham, a sausage galette, a salmon gravlax galette, a smoked beef galette, a chicken galette and a veggie galette, which changes every week. Although they all look appetizing, we opted for the latter, with sweet potato, red cabbage, feta, arugula and mint oil, very fresh, the mint giving a very recognizable tangy flavor.

The buckwheat galette makes a change from the usual focaccias or sandwiches, with a finer, lighter texture that's less filling in the end, but still hearty. On the savoury side, we also liked the BBQ chicken confit patty, cooked in front of us, with its melting cheddar cheese, red onion pickles for added crunch, and chicken juice reduction for a caramelized taste that delights the taste buds.

Gone are the French fries, and in their place we find lightly salted baked potatoes with a delicious spicy mayonnaise, which go perfectly with our drink, a little cider beautifully named"Fils de pomme". Although we regret the absence of a Breizh Cola, this delicately fruity cuvée brings us right back to Brittany. Without dessert, the first menu is very accessible and nourishing for 13.50 euros, but count on three euros more for a sweet crêpe.

All that's left to do is choose your topping: the famous beurre demi-sel (semi-salted butter), obligatory in Brittany, simply sweetened, with chocolate, jam or caramel beurre salé, our choice, the best, which has the taste of nostalgia and memories of summer evenings by the beach. True Breton treasures, to eat in if you arrive early or to take away, served for lunch or dinner by a fine team with a passion for good food... but also for techno!

Yes, it's amazing, but from time to time the restaurant hosts GALETE'TECH, a lively musical evening with a DJ set in the kitchen, which attracts many fans to the street between Opéra Garnier and Gare de l'Est. It's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, Breton-style, and enjoy a rarity in the capital: cheap pints .Yec'hed mat!
