With no fewer than 10 stars in all her restaurants, Anne-Sophie Pic is the world's most starred chef. This hasn't stopped her from recently closing her restaurant in Singapore, her restaurant in Megève and her 2* restaurant in London. But it could well be that chef Pic has her sights set on the French capital.
According to the media outlet Bouillantes, Anne-Sophie Pic may move her 1* restaurant La Dame de Pic, currently located in Paris's 1st arrondissement, to the Mandarin Oriental Paris. Attendance at this Parisian palace has been flagging for several years, and while chef Thierry Marx has decided to jump ship after 14 years of loyal service by closing his 2* Sur-Mesure restaurant in March 2024, Anne-Sophie Pic could see this as an opportunity to relocate her Dame de Pic.
Especially as the rent for the chef's Michelin-starred restaurant is exorbitant given its location on rue du Louvre. According to Bouillantes, "employees at La Dame de Pic in Paris have received an internal communication explaining that the rue du Louvre restaurant is due to close in the coming months.
