The OPTM, which owns the commercial property, had already initiated legal proceedings in 2021, which are still pending before the Paris Court of Justice. ESSET, the condominium manager, has decided to block access to the terrace for visitors to the observatory without waiting for a court ruling.
This closure means the cancellation of numerous events planned on the terrace, including the Urban Altitude festival, the 50th anniversary festivities of the Tour Montparnasse and others.
