The Île-de-France region is offering a welcome helping hand for high-school students in the region. Thanks to the Labaz application, dedicated to 15-25 year-olds, a 100 euro subsidy is available to finance part of the Navigo Imagine R card. It's an opportunity to lighten the cost of transport and discover other exclusive offers.
With this initiative, the Region wishes to both support families' purchasing power and encourage the use of public transport. As of this October 1, 2024, high school students will be able to apply via the Labaz application and benefit from the refund from mid-November. A welcome gesture given that the cost of theImagine R pass for the 2024-2025 school year amounts to 382.40 euros. Refunds will be issued from mid-November 2024.
In addition to this aid, Labaz also offers two other grants of 100 euros each: one for enrolment in a sports club or cultural association, and the other for the purchase of a bicycle. These grants are part of the Region's overall strategy to offer young people easier access to a variety of activities, while supporting their day-to-day mobility.
To take advantage of this aid, simply download the Labaz application and complete the dedicated form from September 28, 2024. This scheme is reserved for high-school students in the Paris region who do not already benefit from departmental aid. More than 500,000 young people are concerned by this measure, which joins other initiatives already in place to promote public transport and sporting or cultural activities.
In its first year of existence, Labaz has already enabled thousands of young people to benefit from exclusive advantages, such as free access to key events like the Paris 2024 Olympic Games or the Solidays festival. In short, back-to-school is a major cost for families, so any help is welcome to juggle expenses.
Please note that this offer applies primarily to Parisians outside the Ile-de-France region, since young Parisians benefit from a full refund on request.
