In Paris, the energy is mounting as the Summer 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games approach: and with good reason, there are just a few weeks to go before the opening of this global event, which will bring the world's greatest athletes to the City of Light.
To the east of the capital, in the 12th arrondissement, a number of sporting events will be staged at Olympic venues set up especially for the occasion. The pyramid-shapedArena overlooks the Parc de Bercy , and since its creation in 1984 has hosted numerous concerts by the world's biggest stars, as well as top-level sporting events such as the Rolex Paris Master and the 2018 European Women's Handball Championship. Served by lines 1 (Gare de Lyon stop), 14 or 6 (Bercy stop), as well as RER A and D (Gare de Lyon stop), the Arena de Bercy is easily accessible by public transport from the center of the capital or from the suburbs.
For the Paris Olympics, the Bercy Arena will host the basketball, trampoline and artistic gymnastics events.
