The Olympic flame arrives in Paris this Sunday, July 14 and Monday, July 15, 2024. For two days, it will traverse the streets of the capital, with a series of events planned along the way. Some forty Parisians will pass the Olympic flame to each other during this relay. So, who are they? Artists, athletes, members of associations and city officials... On Sunday July 14 and Monday July 15, 2024, Parisians will be crisscrossing the capital to pass the Olympic flame to each other. - Diaby Diako
A world champion in freestyle roller skating, Diaby Diako also passes on his passion to members of the Paris Skate Culture club, located in the 18th arrondissement.
- Armel Agbobli
Committed to women's issues, Armel Agbobli coordinates the Geneviève de Gaulle-Anthonioz women's shelter with the association La Mie de Pain.
- Micheline Abergel
Born in Egypt, Micheline Abergel arrived in France in 1957 at the age of 10. Since then, she has created a collective and a festival, "Toi Femmes". The aim? To make as many people as possible aware of all kinds of violence suffered by women.
- Luca Platania Parisi
Handisport fencer with Club de la Tour d'Auvergne (9th arrondissement), Luca Platania Parisi is French champion and 4th in the international rankings.
- Minetou Ndiaye
An executive, Minetou Ndiaye founded Énergie Femmes eight years ago. This association encourages women to assume their ambitions.
- Arthur Seurin
A business school student, Arthur Seurin was decorated by the Prefect of Paris in June 2023 for his act of courage in saving his neighbor from a burning apartment.
- Claudine Vigouroux
Claudine Vigouroux is an animator for schools in the 13th arrondissement, and has also had a passion for sport for over forty years. Her favorite sport? Double dutch, a cross between hip-hop and skipping rope. Initially a high-level practitioner, she now heads a club with over 60 members.
- Arthur Le Comte du Colombier
Arthur Le Comte du Colombier is visually impaired and works in the assistance sector. He is also a JAM! runner.
- Tharshan Selvarajah
Tharshan Selvarajah arrived in France in 2006. In 2010, he ventured into the bakery business, opening his own address at N°44 rue des Pyrénées (20e). Since then, Tharshan has won the Paris 2023 Best Baguette Award!
- Hélène Cart-Grandjean
Hélène Cart-Grandjean's career has been rich: she has worked for the French Ministry of Health, directed the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital and supported clinical research. Hélène is also a mountain and endurance enthusiast.
- Eva David
Eva David is a handisport athlete who plays basketball and wheelchair tennis. She also campaigns for greater inclusion of disabled people in sport and society.
- Vivien Boyi-Banga
Vivien Boyi-Banga is the founder of the association Les Talents du 18 (18th arrondissement). The idea? To raise the profile of sport by promoting champions from the north of Paris and providing them with financial support.
- Shanga Itaka
Shanga Itaka is a board member of Sensations inclusives (19th). This sports association campaigns for better access to sport and the development of healthy sports for people with disabilities.
- Matteo Lüthi
Matteo Lüthi is a young top-level sportsman who practices handisport fencing.
- Lucia Teixeira
Lucia Teixeira is well known to the inhabitants of rue de Charonne. Arriving in Paris at the age of 17 to escape fascism in Portugal, this building janitor was the godmother of a homeless man who has since become a janitor with the Régie Immobilière de la Ville de Paris (RIVP).
- Rayane Hechmi
A true piano prodigy, 16-year-old Rayane Hechmi is a student at the Conservatoire du 12e arrondissement. He made a name for himself by winning the final of " La France a un incroyable talent ".
- Hawa Sangaré
Through her brand, Hawa Sangaré trains women in vulnerable situations in the sewing trades. She also created the H.A.W.A foundation, which fights against clothing waste by recovering fabrics and unsold items and turning them into new products.
