Who will carry the Olympic flame from Seine-Saint-Denis to the capital this July 26, 2024? Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Laetitia Casta... these are just some of the celebrity torchbearers expected this Friday between the commune of Saint-Denis and Paris.

Tick-tock, tick-tock... Good news for sports fans, as the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is finally here! Taking the form of a river show, the event will take place outside a stadium for the very first time. The opening ceremony will take place on the banks of the Seine, to the delight not only of ticket-holders, but also of the one billion television viewers.

In the meantime, the Olympic flame is preparing to complete its impressive tour. Before returning to the capital, and in particular the Jardin des Tuileries, the flame will begin its final and 68th leg in Seine-Saint-Denis on July 26, 2024.

This Friday, the torch will continue its journey between Saint-Denis and Paris, passing through the Quartier Pleyel, the Olympic Village, the Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal Saint-Martin.

And to take the Olympic flame on the road, torchbearers have been selected. So, who are they? Who are the well-known torchbearers expected on Friday July 26 for this relay between Seine-Saint-Denis and Paris ?

The official website of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games has revealed the names of these famous torchbearers. This Friday, those planning to travel to Paris to catch a glimpse of the flame will be able to meet American rapper Snoop Dogg. The Californian artist, who will be covering the Olympic Games for NBC this summer, will be carrying the Olympic flame this Friday, July 26, in the commune of Saint-Denis. The town's mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, confirmed this to AFP on Monday July 22.

In addition to Snoop Dogg, you can also expect to see French rapper MC Solaar, comedian Booder and actress Laetitia Casta between Saint-Denis and Paris. Saint-Denis mayor Mathieu Hanotin has also confirmed the presence of Pharrell Williams. The American rapper, who is also artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's collections, is due to hold the Olympic flame in Saint-Denis on Friday.

As a reminder, the Seine-Saint-Denis département will host many of the events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Among them? Artistic swimming at the Olympic Aquatic Center, athletics and rugby 7s at the Stade de France and rock climbing at Le Bourget.
