Following his 4th place in the Eurovision Song Contest last May, and ahead of his two huge concerts atParis' Accor Arena in 2025, Slimane is set to take part in the festivities for the Paris 2024 Olympics. As previously revealed by our confrères at Le Parisien and BFMTV, the singer is due to give a free concert this Friday, July 26, 2024 in Saint-Denis. This free performance will be broadcast live on France 2. The information was confirmed by the artist on his social networks.
Slimane's exclusive 30-minute concert will take place on the forecourt of the Basilique Saint-Denis, at around 4:30pm. The show will take place just a few hours before the eagerly-awaited opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. This event will take place on July 26 at 7.30pm on the Seine between the Pont d'Austerlitz and the Pont d'Iéna.

Meanwhile, the Olympic flame continues its tour. On July 14 and 15, it was in Paris. A number of famous torchbearers took part, including Thierry Henry, Yannick Noah, Nina Métayer, Jamel Debbouze, Romane Dicko, Nicolas Batum and Nikola Karabatic.
After passing through Val-d'Oise, Essonne, Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine, the torch has reached Seine-Saint-Denis. This Friday, it will be visible between the town of Saint-Denis and the capital on its final and 68th stage.

On the same July 26, Slimane will offer residents an exclusive free concert, accompanied by the Sankofa Unit urban choir and a symphony orchestra. 50 musicians from the Divertimento symphony orchestra will perform alongside Slimane. With free access to the forecourt of the Basilique Saint-Denis, this"pre-opening of the Olympics" concert promises to be both beautiful and emotionally charged.
