July 26 marks the date of the last Olympic torch relay in Paris. This final passage will take us from Saint-Denis in the 93 region to a final crossing of the capital. To mark the occasion, a number of events are planned throughout the day. Here's what you don't want to miss.

The Olympic flame ends its journey through the capital this Friday, July 26, the day of the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games . As you'd expect, it's a wild ride that's planned for this final day, which will pass from Seine-Saint-Denis to Paris, through historic, cultural, popular and emblematic places to put the capital in the spotlight. And, as with the first run, there's sure to be plenty of entertainment.

This Friday, July 26, the Olympic Torch Relay makes its 68th and final stop in France, passing through Seine-Saint-Denis and Paris. A day rich in symbolism, it will showcase these two regions at the heart of the Olympic Games. The Olympic flame will wind its way through the lively streets of Saint-Denis, passing close to the Saint-Denis Basilica and the Pleyel district, before making its way to the heart of the Olympic Village. Timetable and events for the Olympic flame

Seine-Saint-Denis

  • Quartier Pleyel: 9:30am - 9:50am

    • Musical entertainment and street shows await you to celebrate the passing of the flame. Local schools and sports associations will also be taking part with demonstrations and activities.

  • Olympic Village: 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

    • The heart of the Olympic Village will be alive with artistic performances and interactive workshops for families and children. Attending athletes will have the opportunity to take part in photo opportunities and meet the public.

  • Saint-Denis: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

    • The flame will pass through the emblematic sites of Saint-Denis, with stops for cultural performances highlighting the local heritage. Food stalls and craft markets will also be set up.

Paris

  • Canal Saint-Denis to Canal Saint-Martin: 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm

The flame will enter Paris via the Parc de la Villette, following the Canal de l'Ourcq, the Bassin de la Villetteand the Canal Saint-Martin. At each stop, free entertainment awaits spectators, offering a unique and festive experience. The route between the two canals will be punctuated by floating concerts and nautical entertainment. Decorated boats will accompany the flame all along the canal, offering a unique visual spectacle.

Events:

Bassin de la Villette

  • 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm: Dragon Ladies of Paris Dragon Boat demonstration by the Phoenix & Dragons association, made up of cancer survivors and their loved ones.
  • 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Dragon Ladies of Paris Second Dragon Boat demonstration on the Bassin de la Villette.

Canal Saint-Martin

  • 1:20pm - 2:50pm: Paris Cheerleaders Cheerleading performance by the Paris Cheerleaders.
  • 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Mobile DJ Musical entertainment by a mobile DJ, providing a festive atmosphere on the banks of the canal.
  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Nautical fleet Parade of boats on the canal, showcasing various watercraft and nautical activities.
  • 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Concert by Kessy Mac Queen Live concert by singer Kessy Mac Queen, adding a musical touch to the evening.

The end of the torch's route remains partly confidential, as it is part of the Opening Ceremony! In any case, make the most of this historic and festive day to celebrate the Olympic spirit in the heart of the capital. For those attending the ceremony, plan to reach your zone from 3:30 p.m. and no later than 1:30 p.m. before the start, which takes place at 7:30 p.m.
