Don't know which channel to watch the Olympic cycling events on, or at what time? We've put all the information together for you in this article!

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games begin very soon, and will be launched on July 26 with the opening ceremony on the Seine. Until September 8, 2024, you'll be able to follow Olympic and Paralympic events on TV, with all events being rebroadcast.

Cycling is a major component of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with several disciplines represented. Here are their particularities and differences:

  • Track cycling and para-cycling: racing in a velodrome, individually or in teams. Various events can be organized, from sprint races to endurance races and team pursuits.
  • Road cycling and Para-cycling: these races take place outdoors. In the "road" event, riders compete in a mass start over a distance of more than a hundred kilometers, while the "time trial" is a solo race of around 50 kilometers. As far as the Paralympic version is concerned, the committee's website states that "Road races are run over a distance that can vary between 78 and 125 km for tandems, between 37 and 80 km for handbikes, between 48 and 100 km for the cycle class and between 26 and 40 km for tricycles. " For the time trials, races are held on courses ranging from 10 to 40 km, depending on the category.
  • Mountain biking: mountain biking takes place on hilly terrain, in a loop where riders have to show their endurance and adaptability to a circuit full of obstacles.
