Change of program for this Sunday, September 1, Day 4 of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. In the end, the para-triathlon events, which were partly scheduled to take place in the Seine, have been postponed until Monday due to the quality of the river's water.

As Paris hosts the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games for the first time in its history, the City of Light is dealing with unforeseen circumstances and adapting. On July 29, the triathlon events were already postponed due to poor water quality in the Seine. This time, it's a Paralympic Games discipline that is affected by a last-minute cancellation, as the events on Sunday September 1 have been postponed to the following day, Monday September 2.

It rained heavily in the Paris region on Saturday, and this didn't help the quality of the water in the river that flows through the capital. Widely degraded, it was judged to be not good enough in the morning's final tests. The organizers have therefore decided that "the health of the athletes is the priority" and that the eleven events must be postponed until Monday, when it is to be hoped that the analyses will be better.

Initially, this event was scheduled to take place over two days, but due to the weather, the committee announced that they would be held on Sunday. So, once again, they have to be postponed in the hope of holding them in the best possible conditions!
