Another medal for fencing, with Yannick Borel and his épée! A well-deserved silver award, the first individual one for the 35-year-old, on home soil!

And 8 for the French team! Another exceptional day from our very consistent French team, who picked up four new medals- two gold, one silver and one bronze - including that of Yannick Borel in fencing. The 35-year-old epee fencer put up a good fight in the final against Japan's Koki Kano, ranked third in the world, but it wasn't enough... Nevertheless, he won a superb silver medal after an emotional day at the Grand Palais.

In Rio in 2016, he became Olympic team champion, but this time it's his first individual Olympic medal, and what better way to get it than at home, supported by his family! AfterAuriane Mallo-Breton 's silver medal on Saturday, the shooters seem to have their sights set on silver for the time being! Will one of them manage to win gold in the next few days?

The last French representative in the discipline after the quarter-finals, Yannick Borel nonetheless had the opportunity to take his revenge on Egyptian Mohamed Elsayed in the semi-finals, who had knocked him out at the very start of the competition in Tokyo - and that's a pleasure!
