Get ready to swim, dance and chill on the Seine, on the Port de Javel side. The "L'Arche" aquatic complex project, an extension of the Parc André Citroën, is due to open this spring. With a floating pool, balneotherapy, guinguette and dance hall spread over 4,500 square meters by the Rosa Bonheur team, this is one spot you're going to love this summer in the 15th arrondissement.

Every year, invitations to tender are issued to revitalize the capital and never let it fall asleep. A case in point is L'Arche, the project chosen to revitalize the Port de Javel, where food trucks already meet in the La Javelle space.

From July 2022, this side of Paris, which until a few years ago was left fallow, will be home to an aquatic complex, with an Olympic swimming pool (off the Seine, to start with), sports halls, rehabilitation and balneotherapy areas covering 1,000m2.

This 1,000m2 superstructure will be a sports club open to all, "with prices as affordable as possible within the limits of profitability", according to the Why Not Production development director in charge of the project. Access to the club will be by annual subscription, membership of one of the region's clubs, or entry fee. "The idea is not to be a closed club, but a place open to encounters, with facilities for everyone," Sébastien Marques assures Cnews.

But that's not all: the building, which is 110 m long and 15 m wide, will also be extended on land, taking up a total area of no less than 4,500 m2.

Imagine a 50 m open-air swimming pool . Also on the programme: physiotherapists, a balneotherapy and rehabilitation center. Then it's down a notch to discover a 100-seat dance hall in the hold , complete with the famous gyms, including a cycling room .

The pool solarium will be transformed into a rooftop guinguette in the evenings, and an overhead projector unrolled on the barge will allow you to watch films, soccer matches...
