At a time of war, conflict and forced displacement around the world, the Union Générale Arménienne de Bienfaisance has decided to organize a solidarity race, in support of oppressed peoples, against genocide and Holocaust denial, on Sunday, October 20, 2024. This five-kilometer event will take place for the first time in the capital, after several editions in Marseille, around Lac Daumesnil, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
Departure is at 8:30 a.m. on an easy route through the countryside, at the same time as other participating towns in France, Uruguay, India, Australia and Armenia. This international movement aims to remember and not forget the events of the past, while others are repeating themselves in our own time. In Armenia in particular, since September 2023, over 100,000 people have had to flee their country in order to survive.
A way to get involved through sport!
