Five years after “9 Dead Alive”, they’re finally coming back! The Mexican duet Rodrigo y Gabriela has announced to be back with an album and a tour for our greatest joy.
In terms of the album, meet from Friday April 26, 2019 to discover “Mettavolution”. This album is the outcome of the passion, expressed with two acoustic guitars, of Rodrigo y Gabriela for Buddhism, the history of the evolution and the liberation of the potential of the human species.
Two atmospheres create this new record. The first half of “Mettavolution” reminds us of the duet’s trash metal roots back in Mexico while an incredible 19-minute cover of legendary “Echoes” by Pink Floyd – reinvented for two acoustic guitars – takes the entire other half of the album.
For this new opus, the acoustic guitar genius duo called in produced Dave Savy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, A Perfect Circle, Fall Out Boy…).

For the rest, Rodrigo y Gabriela expect to promote this new album on stage and have already announced an exclusive Parisian concert, the day before the release of “Mettavolution”, meaning on Thursday April 25, 2019. The occasion to discover live and before anyone else some new tracks.
Note that the Parisian show will take place on the legendary stage of L’Olympia.
As for the ticketing service, tickets go on sale this February 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. (Paris time).
