This summer, the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg unveils thefree"Sport Chic"fashion exhibition, running until September 15, 2024. Nestled in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the heart of Parisian elegance, the hotel takes you on a new epic journey to the heart of luxury and French savoir-faire.
To coincide with the Paris Olympic Games, the exhibition transforms the windows and lobby of the Parisian showcase into a fashion runway, where sport and haute couture compete for the gold medal. Couturiers from the Fédération Française de Création Couture sur Mesure draw their inspiration from the Olympic world for couture-humoristic detour.
Sportswear dress es? Check it out! Equipment transformed into trendy accessories? Double check! Lace reinvented as balloon netting, windbreakers transformed into evening wear, and fencing pants revisited with a touch of romance? We say yes!
Designers play with sports codes: soccer balls hide under skirts, badminton shuttlecocks adorn necklines, and an XXL braided ponytail dangles from the bottom of a riding jacket. Models flaunt jewelry medals designed by jewelers from the La Boci trade association, while Maison du Pli reinvents the Olympic torch with folding cartons.
