An event created by fans, for fans... That's the promise of Fans of the Galaxy, the Star Wars universe exhibition returning to Paris from July 6 to August 1, 2024. And this time, it's at Electric Paris, in the 10th arrondissement, that the exhibition is taking place, offering visitors the chance to discover almost 600 objects in tribute to the saga, created by fans and drawn from private collections.
These include spaceships, AT-STs and Pod Racers, as well as life-size statues of cult characters such as Queen Amidala and Jar Jar Binks. There are also experiential spaces, allowing visitors to travel to the farthest reaches of the galaxy, on three planets emblematic of the space saga universe: Tatooine, the moon of Endor and Hoth.
In all, more than 20 one-of-a-kind sculptures and 40 years of passionate work are on display here, including armor, lightsabers, blasters, helmets, masks and more! And for kids, there's also a Star Wars Lego area, where they can let their creativity run wild. Other workshops, such as an introduction to lightsabers, could also be planned, as well as themed evenings, to bring Star Wars to life during the vacations... For all Star Wars fans, it's a great way to make memories. This summer, the Force will once again be with Parisians! Shall we drop in?
Our review of the Star Wars, Fans of the Galaxy exhibition:
So, what's the value of this 100% Star Wars exhibition created by fans, for fans? For those who already discovered it last year, it's worth the detour once again, on several counts: firstly, for the character of the objects on display! They come from private collections, either purchased or created from scratch by passionate fans... And it's here that we see the fervor of the fans, reproducing the costumes and other artifacts of the saga in great detail, even adding their own personal touch to the work. It's an interesting change from the classic exhibitions of the genre.
Secondly, it's immersive. The exhibition is staged and soundtracked to immerse you even further in the universe of the space saga. It's quickly absorbing, and you can quickly imagine yourself in a TR-TT or on a speeder, dressed as a Rebel, a Jedi or even a Sith. It's an immersion that wasn't on offer when the exhibition opened in July 2023. Another point,
For the exhibits, too, in general: helmets, costumes, dioramas, toys... Something for everyone. The exhibition is also designed to evolve, as the exhibits will rotate throughout the show to offer ever more novelties. Note that workshops will be offered throughout the summer: lightsaber initiation, LEGO workshop... Something for every fan.
Also worth discovering are two rooms specially dedicated to fan items, which you can submit following a call for entries. This will force you to get your old Star Wars toys out of the attic... And as for the Barbies on display, they're official! All you have to do now is go and discover them... And may the Force be with you this summer!
