LASK (Valérie Laskier), entered the Institut Pratique du Journalisme in Paris in 2000 and joined a French weekly news magazine. 5 years later, suffering from cancer, she spent 2 years in a wheelchair. Painting was a revelation, and she uses materials and colors to express her emotions and her rebirth....
Considered a rising star in the art world by her peers, LASK has decided to donate all proceeds from the auction to the Paris Committee of the Ligue contre le cancer, to finance a nautical rally for teenagers suffering from cancer, which will take place during the Easter vacations of 2025.
Offering her paintings for this cause is a way for her to give back what life has given her. "I know what it's like to feel helpless in the face of disease, and I want these young people to be able, for a moment, to forget their struggle and live an extraordinary experience. At the age of 28, I tell myself that if someone had done something like this for me, it would have given me a breath of hope and told them that they are not alone in this fight"
This sale will be orchestrated by Marielle Digard, auctioneer at Maison DIGARD AUCTION, in the Salle des Arcades, Hôtel de Ville, Paris, and broadcast on Drouot Live.
