The Future in the Balance exhibitionbrings together a wide range of works, some of which are taken from the artist's archives and have rarely been shown to the public. Also on view are trial prints, unpublished creations and a series of serigraphs.
Chuck Sperry stands out for his colorful universe, and a style that blends the ancient with the modern. His silkscreens are reminiscent of large Art Nouveau posters, the colors and symbols of the 1960s hippie movement, and modern pop culture formats. This mix of genres is accentuated by the diversity of the artist's creations: he has worked in both the film and music worlds, collaborating with artists such as Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Nick Cave...
