Finding a place to brunch on weekends in Paris isn't all that complicated. On the other hand, finding a restaurant that serves brunch during the week is almost a challenge. Four years ago, a well-meaning mother and daughter - Nana and Jennifer - opened Café Madam, a warm, girly place where brunch is served all week until 5pm (the kitchen closes between 3pm and 4pm), except on Mondays. A joy for freelancers and heavy morning sleepers!
In this small, fresh (and green) setting, you'll find breakfasts, soups, salads, buns, pies and pastries, but above all, you'll come for the delicious, affordable homemade brunches.
There's a classic brunch version - already copious - with good bread from Chez Meunier, jams from Alain Milliat, coffee from Coutumes or a delicious old-fashioned hot chocolate, a US brunch version with poached eggs and Norwegian bacon that's sure to attract American tourists, and a Lebanese brunch version with a lovely plate of green tabbouleh, hummus, pizetta and eggplant caviar.
All in all, a great place to enjoy a generous, healthy brunch at an unbeatable price. With Café Madam's extended brunch, you'll have no qualms about staying up late!
