The decor of theHôtel de Vendôme restaurant, "1 Place Vendôme" is metamorphosing into a refined boudoir from May 2 to 26, 2017.
Indeed, in association with Nina's Tea House, they're offering an afternoon tea, dedicated to the famous empress, Marie-Antoinette.
For the occasion, the hotel's pastry chef, Louise Wolmer, has come up with a beautiful "Marie-Antoinette" sweet creation, with elixirs from yesteryear.
It consists of a fine sphere of white chocolate under which we find a soft cake with hints of tea, a rose and candied apple cream with a light chantilly of black tea and rose petals.
In homage to the Empress, a crunchy camet with her features rests on this pastry that's as pretty to look at as it is to eat. And let's not forget the golden leaves, the nec plus ultra of this very feminine cake.
To accompany this delicate, fragrant creation, Nina's Tea House, founded by "fragrance magician" Pierre Diaz in 1672, offers a range of flavored teas .
Of course, you can't afford to miss one of its must-haves, Marie-Antoinette tea, scented with roses and apples fresh from the King's Garden at Versailles.
