Some places are really worth a visit. This is the case of Café Frappé by Bloom.
Inaugurated in September 2017, at the same time as the museum on which it depends, 11 Conti, this new place, with its bright, modern, plant and warm decoration, imagined by Studio DAS, has everything to make you stop there for a long time.
So don't be afraid if you see two guards in front of the entrance. They are there for the museum. Once you've passed the obstacle, you can push the transparent door and discover the very nice Café Frappé by Bloom.
Behind this beautiful gourmet project, we find Pauline, founder of Bloom restaurants located in the 11th and 8th districts of the capital.
Bloom has invested the place to propose, like its big brothers, a 100% home-made, seasonal, local, responsible and accessible cuisine. As for the products, Pauline buys directly from quality producers in the Paris region.
The menu is both simple and delicious, with sweet and savory products such as, for example, at lunchtime, 100% homemade lasagna, vegetable risotto or even bowls, croque monsieur and sandwiches. On weekends, the place is more family-oriented with the inevitable brunch to be discovered in the form of an all-you-can-eat buffet for 35 € (hot drinks, brioches, waffles, cheeses, cold cuts, salads, soups, desserts...).
The café Frappé par Bloom also proposes a breakfast formula at 7€, and a snack formula at 8€.
On our side, we chose to discover the place at theaperitif time, accessible from Thursday to Saturday only. Welcomed by the very smiling Clara, the talented Chef Barman offers us a very nice trip to South America thanks to the cocktail suggestion ; a clever drink made with Mezcal and cucumber.
For the lovers of cocktails, note that this cocktail changes every day according to the desire of the barman, who confesses to have a preference for the alcohols of Latin America like Mezcal but also Tequila or Pisco.
For the rest, we find on the menu classic cocktails like the Mojito, the Moscow Mule or the Whisky Sour.
Red and white wines, craft beers and ciders are also on the menu.
To accompany the cocktail, we opt for a nice board of cold cuts with homemade terrine, sausage and slices of ham (16 €), and an organic burratina seasoned with a drizzle of olive oil (7 €).
Also on the menu? Cheeses such as Saint Marcellin roasted with honey or the tempting Mont d'Or hot and mussel to share, tarama, fish rillettes, a Nordic plate, or a beef tartar cut with a knife.
And to finish on a sweet note, let's make room for home-made desserts with an excellent apple crumble on one side, and the famous chocolate cake on the other, warm and delicious as we like it!
Note that all the dishes are cooked every day in the kitchen of Bloom in the 11th arrondissement and are then brought back to Café Frappé by Bloom.
We tell you, word of mouth is starting to make its little effect and no doubt that the Café Frappé par Bloom will not remain confidential for long so, a tip, run there quickly!
