Paris is the city where beautiful concepts intersect to break the routine. To prove it once again, we're bringing you an original, arty brunch in an art gallery in the capital's 10th arrondissement! Specializing incontemporary urban art, the Wawi gallery offers its Brunch & Paint event every Saturday and Sunday (all year round).
The concept? A brunch doubled with a painting workshop! But don't panic if you haven't touched a paintbrush since kindergarten... The gallery's artists (in our case, Shaz) draw models on the canvases to be painted: then it's up to you to use them as a base or not. On your table, you'll find cans of gouache in a variety of colors, brushes of different sizes and an apron, which you'll be provided with to avoid getting paint on your clothes.
On the menu, the vegetarian brunch is served directly to the table, so as not to interrupt your composition: we start with a croissant and vanilla cream, then continue with avocado toast and French fries, not forgetting hot drinks (tea, coffee, chocolate), as much as you like.
All the products on offer are local: the croissants come from the bakery next door, the savory dishes from a South American cuisine restaurant, which only serves vegan options for this brunch. If you're expecting a really hearty brunch, perhaps it would be better to turn to more classic brunches: however, if you want to discover an unusual brunch concept, this is clearly the place to go!
As an added bonus, this Sunday brunch features live music! Depending on the Sunday, you can expect either a concert or a DJ set. It's a great idea for an original outing, and a great way to boost your weekends, thanks to this unusual plan to discover solo or in the company of a loved one!
