Jeffrey Cagnes and the Montorgueil district are a great love story. On the one hand, he grew up here, but he also spent many years working here at the legendary and historic Maison Stohrer, where he worked for 15 years, perpetuating the tradition of fine French patisserie.
One year after the opening of his first boutique in the heart of Batignolles, focusing more on pastries, original and delicious creations where gourmandise remains the order of the day, Jeffrey Cagnes inaugurates a second address. And so Jeffrey returns to his home district, on rue Montorgueil itself, at the corner of rue Leopold Bellan.
It's in the place of the superb Café Biart, a listed building, that Jeffrey Cagnes has set up shop. So don't miss out. In fact, it's in the setting of this old café, decorated in blue and gold mosaics, that the store opens up to you. We'll admit it, we walked right past without realizing it, but then retraced our steps.
Located at 73 rue Montorgueil,Jeffrey Cagnes ' new boutique offers the chef's famous pastries, but not only. There's also a fine selection of the company's chocolates and a whole bar of foccacias. Made on the premises, the delicious foccacia minute awaits strollers in search of street food to take away. A whole range of recipes can be discovered on site.
The chef's ambition is to open other stores in Paris, each with a different concept. So, if you're hanging around Les Halles, discovering the Rue des Bulles or the Halles skating rink, be sure to discover the world Jeffrey Cagnes has created for his new boutique, and treat yourself to his exclusive recipes.
