Fancy a spot of skating, folks? There's no better way to enjoy the magic of Christmas than hand-in-hand skating on a Christmas rink. And of course, the kids love it. The great thing about the Les Halles Christmas skating rink in Paris is that it's free! And let's face it, withinflation and prices rising everywhere, taking advantage of a free outing is a godsend, especially for keeping the kids busy over the Christmas vacations.
It has to be said that Christmas skating rinks are becoming increasingly rare in Paris. There are no longer any ice rinks on the Hôtel de Ville forecourt or on the Eiffel Tower, but fortunately there are still a few, like the one in the Jardin des Tuileries, for example, but only for a fee. If your little ones want to put on skates, head over to the Forum des Halles to enjoy this ice rink.
This ephemeral 200-square-meter Christmas rink will be open for a limited time this holiday season. See you from December 5 to 19, 2022. The rink is open daily from 11am to 1pm and from 2pm to 7pm.
Note that this is an ecological ice rink. It's made of sliding sheets, so it doesn't need electricity or water.
The pleasure of skating without breaking the bank. The rink is located on level -1 of the Canopée des Halles, just above the huge fir tree, which is the perfect backdrop for a souvenir photo stop.
Why not test your (or your little ones') skating skills on a free Christmas rink?
