Looking for a good bakery-pastry shop in the 11th arrondissement of Paris? There is no shortage of beautiful bakeries in the area, and the openings follow one another, like Pépite, which we went to discover. Opened only 3 months ago, this gourmet spot has a lot to offer.
Pépite is the story ofAlice Lin who has always had a particular taste for pastry. Coming from a traditional Chinese family, her wish to work in this field was frowned upon. Once she settled down with her husband, she finally decided to give free rein to her passion. After training at Le Cordon Bleu and then obtaining a CAP in Pastry in 2018, she worked at Le Meurice, at Anne Sophie Pic and then at the Boulangerie l'Essentiel , whose know-how and gourmandise are no longer to be denied.
The mission of Pépite Bakery is to reenchant your daily life, which I believe is a good mission. A little happiness and pleasure every day, joy and moments of sharing, that's what the new gourmet spot wants to distill for us. For that, we have the French specialties we love, 100% artisanal of course.
At Pépite, PDO products, seasonal and short circuits are the order of the day with an eco-responsible approach. The flours used are local, from a mill based in Ile-de-France. A range is specially designed for children in an adapted format.
So, what do you eat in this bakery - pastry shop? You can find good artisanal breads and croissants, pain au chocolat and other very generous rolls. The amateurs of good flan and apple tartlet have what to please themselves.
Among the creations, we like the greedy Pépi-Choc tartlet and the vanilla-pecan tartlet. The curious can enjoy a surprisingly delicious pink grapefruit pavlova while the traditional ones will opt for the famous Paris-Brest, which could not be more delicious.
Note that the place is quite spacious and includes a tea room along the window, where you can sit down and enjoy your pastries and cakes, accompanied by a good coffee. On sunny days, a beautiful terrace opens to you in front. The bakery being at the corner of Boulevard Voltaire and rue Léon Frot, it is a beautiful space which opens to relaxation.
As for prices, count on 1,30 € for a plump croissant and around 5 € for creative pastries. In short, why not treat yourself to a generous and gourmet treat in a new home bakery ?
