Have you ever been faced with an appetizing cake, but there's always something extra that you don't like? Well, that's not likely to happen at Sweet Intuition, where you compose your own delicious dessert! In the heart of the charming Montorgueil district, with its small pedestrian and cobbled streets, Farah welcomes us to her adorable tearoom, for a moment of gourmandise and made-to-measure sweetness!
Here you'll find the patissière's creations, which change every week: caramel tiramisu, banana and salted butter tart, chocolate Liègeois, guava and raspberry entremet, banana bread, lemon cake or simple cookies, all desserts to whet the appetite.
But above all, the motto of the place is to offer you a wide range of options for making your own pastry from scratch! You choose the size of the jar that will hold the cake, which can be larger or smaller depending on your stomach (S, M or L), and more or less expensive, from 5.90 to 9.90 euros.
Then it's off to the base, depending on what you prefer: sponge cake, Breton shortbread, chocolate fondant or almond, with different textures to start our creation. Then we have to choose a cream, which will add creaminess and lightness, flavored with a whole host of foods we love: pistachio, vanilla, orange blossom, praline, hazelnut, chocolate or cream cheese!
This prevents the cake from becoming too dry, making it perfectly balanced! And don't forget the topping, for even more indulgence! Fruit coulis, crêpe dentelle, meringue, caramelized almonds, speculos, chantilly, Oréo or coconut - there's plenty to choose from!
For our part, we chose the smaller jar, which allows two toppings, which we didn't fail to enjoy, with an almond base, a praline cream (quite simply exceptional), topped with chantilly and speculoos, for a little crunch!
It's a top-quality delight that's sure to make you love your dessert every time, as it perfectly matches your preferences. The good thing is that the possibilities are endless, and you'll have to come back several times to try out all the combinations that appeal to you, of course! We like the fact that we can eat warm on the spot, alone or with friends, or take our jar to eat elsewhere, to go.
Allergens are clearly indicated for each dessert, so that those with gluten, egg or lactose intolerance can enjoy their meal without risk, especially as the team is planning new vegan recipes. Lovingly homemade beforehand, both the bases and the creams are low in sugar, for a more authentic taste.
Even our hibiscus iced tea was a far cry from the much fruitier iced tea from a well-known brand. And if you prefer something savoury depending on the time of day, a quiche of the day, some salads and stuffed buns await you! So, which made-to-measure creation are you going to try today?
