Do you love a good bakery? Artisanal Parisian treasures that always smell homemade, with love and tradition? We'd like to take you to Roulés Boulés, a charming neighborhood store where sandwiches and viennoiseries delight passers-by and locals alike, just a stone's throw from Place des Vosges.

Opened in April 2023, Roulés Boulés is the business of Maxime Crespin and Sandra Dos Santos, artisans of Parisian origin who settled in Troyes in the Aube region for 2 years. Nostalgic for Parisian life and wanting to be closer to their children, they came back to Paris to offer us what they do best: bakery, of course.

In this small family-run business, which is mainly busy in the mornings and at lunchtime, Maxime and Sandra have chosen to focus on the essentials, what customers demand most: the lunchtime snacking offer and viennoiserie. Joined last March by Anthony Nguyen, whose talents as a tourier were already delighting La Datcha regulars, they decided to focus on the savoury lunchtime offer and the exceptional viennoiseries that Anthony makes with passion every morning.

So, they're abandoning freshly baked goods to concentrate on what customers want. In addition to the various breads and baguettes on offer, including sourdough bread with small spelt, Nordic Viking bread and Viennese loaves, the bakery also offers travel cakes such as cookies, brownies and flans, as well as a range of homemade sandwiches. Note that even the mayonnaise is homemade. From buttered ham to rosette, chicken, tuna, dry-cured ham, falafel and vegetarian, there's something for everyone. Add to that individual homemade quiches, made-to-order paninis and egg bacon muffins, and you've got yourself a good deal. Sandwiches cost between €4 and €5.

The range of viennoiseries is equally varied. There are the traditional croissants, pains au chocolat, pains aux raisins and apple turnovers, as well as more original creations such as the butterfly palm, pistachio puff pastry and seasonal fruit tart-style puff pastries, which make us forget the absence of pastries. We're particularly fond of the Swiss with its crisp puff pastry, and the cinnamon roll that'll have you rolling on the floor.

We love the care taken in making these viennoiseries, which have nothing to envy the finest bakeries. Generous, soft and crisp, these sweet treats have one major advantage: they're as good as they areaffordable. Count on €1.40 for a croissant and €1.55 for a pain au chocolat. Fruit puff pastries can cost up to 4€ or 5€, but they're well worth it.

In short, if you're looking for a good ham-and-butter sandwich, crazy viennoiseries at friendly prices and, above all, homemade products, why not try Roulés Boulés? Note that to accommodate their family life, the couple have chosen to open only on weekdays, from 7am to 7:30pm.
