We're off to rue des Jeuneurs to discover Bambou Kitchen, the new take-away counter from Bambou, the modern Thai restaurant that opened 3 years ago. At Bambou Kitchen, the ingredients of the restaurant's success have been retained, but in a takeaway style to delight as many people as possible, whether they're eating at home or at the office.
Dishes carefully prepared on the spot before our very eyes in the great Thai tradition, with fresh seasonal produce, we approve. Inside, the uncluttered, modern decor is reminiscent of the restaurant, with an Asian touch on the central tavle.
On the food side, we discover dishes imagined by Antonnin Bonnet. The Sergent Recruteur's emblematic chef combines his experience in Thailand with his taste for seasonal, local cuisine.
Dishes start at 6€. Compez 6.50€ for a bao garni, 6.50€ for the green papaya salad with sautéed chicken, 9€ to 12€ for a green curry (chicken, shrimp or vegetables) served with rice, or 7€ for the spiced pork confit dumplings we recommend.
The menu is simple but rich in flavor. In any case, here's an offer that's sure to change your habits, a good idea especially as the dishes are available for delivery. Don't forget to finish with desserts such as sticky rice or pandan flan.
Bambou is also home to a new bar opposite the restaurant, doubling the surface area of the terrace and the basement with a hot speakaesy, which you can also try out for delicious coctails accompanied by tapas.
Why not take your taste buds on a journey?
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
