We're off to the west of Paris, in the 16th arrondissement in particular , to discover this new gourmet nugget that's just opened its doors. Thai food fans beware, this is the restaurant for you. Little Bambou, located a stone's throw from the Trocadéro, is the latest venture from dynamic duo Thomas Delafon and Jean-Pierre Lopes, already known for their successful establishments such as Bambou and Bambou Kitchen. This new Thai restaurant offers a warm and intimate setting, perfect for an Asian gastronomic getaway in the heart of Paris.
The decor, by Clémence & Clément Goutal, is inspired by1930s Asia. It offers a soft, enveloping atmosphere that highlights natural materials. Wooden furniture, rattan and linen details and Batik wallpaper all contribute to the Zen atmosphere of Little Bambou.
On site, you'll discover 3 distinct spaces: a counter for convivial moments, a large table for dinners with friends, and a private lounge for more intimate gatherings. And don't miss a trip to the toilets, which take us to another world.
In terms of cuisine, chef Antonin Bonnet's menu, based on his experience in Thailand, highlights the spirit of sharing and the richness of Thai flavors. The selection of dishes is both simple and sophisticated.
From delicious Massaman-roasted cauliflower to vegetable tempura and crispy pork confit dumplings.
Fans of steamed dishes will love the impressively fine Ha Kao with shrimps or the silky Tofu with mushrooms, which we warmly recommend. Last but not least, lovers of spices won't want to miss out on the Jalapenos with lacquer, which are just caliente enough.
Thai cuisine is also about sharing. You'll be seduced by the generous royal sea bream "to share", the "Ping Yang" beef or the green curry with chicken.
The desserts are not to be outdone. In addition to the traditional Sticky rice with coconut glutinous rice and mango, there's also the Chocolate and caramel éclair and the Lemon combawa tart.
In short, if you're looking for a good Thai restaurant in an exotic setting, this is the place. Whether you're a fan of exotic cuisine or simply eager to discover delights from the land of smiles, Little Bambou promises a memorable experience, marked by the passion and expertise of those who bring it to life.
