At the beginning of 2020, 21G Dumpling gave itself a facelift and revealed its new look. Gone was the basic canteen ambience, and now we're transported to the atmosphere of a Taiwanese market!
The decor, designed by film decorator and set designer Esthel Eghnart, now blends perfectly with the cuisine and the bustle of the place. With lanterns, neon dragons and sheet metal on the ceiling, 21G Dumpling now takes us into a setting as convivial as it is welcoming.
We can now enjoy the delicious menu, which offers us exceptional ravioli made from the finest ingredients, in an enchanting setting. Here we have Xiao Long Bao, the house specialty that echoes the name of the establishment by its composition (5 grams of dough, 16 grams of filling and broth). But also Zheng Jiao (steamed ravioli), Guo Tie (grilled ravioli) and Wonton (water-cooked ravioli), all made without glutamate, a guarantee for our health.
We've also fallen for the excellent Gua Bao, a Tawainese street food burger based on a steamed homemade bun with a choice of chicken or pork. Richly garnished with shredded meat and melt-in-your-mouth goodness, we melt. Alternatively, you can opt for the brand-new Bao burger in a BBQ or Teriyaki version (€13).
Or discover the new items on the menu, and oh how tempting they are: baby octopus sautéed in garlic (8€), Chinese eggplant with Dukkah spices (6€) and Taiwan-style fried chicken (8€). All good stuff!
We finish on a high note with one of the delicious desserts on the menu. You'll love the delicious black sesame crème brulée (7€) or the impressive and gourmet Egg Waffle (8€), one of the most original waffles you'll find on the streets of Hong Kong!
There's plenty for you to enjoy!
