From September 20 to 22, 2024, food enthusiasts will gather at the Carreau du Temple for Food Temple, the festival that brings together all lovers of good food! Yes, after 7 successful editions, the Carreau du Temple is back again this fall!
Throughout the weekend, chefs will be leaving their restaurant kitchens to prepare tasty dishes, , as well as giving cooking classes and taking part in masterclasses. For this 8th edition, the festival California, a unique territory where fusion cuisine is legion, the result of a blending of diverse cultural communities.
Once again this year, Food Temple will feature 20 culinary workshops, 10 masterclasses, 4 film screenings, 2 photo exhibitions, 1 bookshop... throughout the 3 days of culinary delights. For this new sunny edition, the Carreau du Temple has invited Californian chefs who have recently settled in the capital, or who have been here for a number of years.
They include Mario Capunay and Matthias Glope fromEcho; Orly Zeitoun Oliver from Snack Attack; Simon and Sacha from Will's Deli; Carlos Moreno from Paris-Mexico; Béatriz Gonzales from Taco Mesa; Caleigh Megless Schmidt from Keïli; Davina Chang from Bing Sutt ; Alexander Southward from Dersou; and Mario Capunay from Kiss.
On the menu: pancakes and smash burgers, tacos and california rolls, oysters and lobster rolls, accompanied by stunning cocktails by Fayçal Mokhchane, head bartender at bar Talaé. Food Temple also features a market of local producers, workshops, masterclasses, yoga and dance classes, as well as film screenings, including the enchanting La La Land.
