In January 2018, many people cried over the death of the world-famous French chef, Paul Bocuse. With three Michelin stars for 53 years, he was considered by many people as the greatest chef in the 20th century.
While many chefs are currently struggling to open a restaurant in Paris, Paul Bocuse had no restaurant in the French capital. It’s yet about to change!
Indeed, after two years of work, Hôtel du Louvre and its brasserie will reopen their doors and the Brasserie du Louvre will be managed by Maison Bocuse.
The news was already in the pipes for a few months and Jérôme Bocuse, the top chef’s son, said: “My father never opened a restaurant in Paris; today, we want to put at the level of French people a part of my father’s culinary legacy by offering a kind of best-seller of our brasseries. It’s a kind of teaser so that Parisians can come to Lyon to discover our brasseries and our three-star restaurant”.
On the menu, French, authentic and hearty cuisine of course: chicken from Bresse with cream and mushrooms, pike quenelle, macaroni gratin à la lyonnaise, ‘grand-mère’ waffles…
We can already picture that tourists and Parisians will be countless to push the doors of this new restaurant!
