Octopus, La Défense's modern brasserie

Like an air bubble, the Oxygen project aims to restore the image of theEsplanade de la Défense, making it more attractive to local residents and workers. The result of a collaboration between the Liquid Corp group and Maison Rostang, theOctopus is now a reality. A modern, inviting brasserie with a stunning cocktail bar.

Over 2000m2, restaurants (Bioburger, Marco Marco), salad bars (Prairie), coffee shops (Coutume) and other co-working spaces sprout like mushrooms in a decor of wood and vegetation.

But the real big news on the food front is the mid-April 2019 opening of the Octopus restaurant, the fruit of collaboration between the Liquid Corp group (Moonshiner, Dirty Dick and Bluebird bars) and Maison Rostang (2 Michelinstars, remember).

This modern brasserie, which doubles as a cocktail bar, will be open at lunchtime to workers in search of quality cuisine, to be enjoyed in their own time or on the go; but it will also be an invitation to relax and indulge in gourmet delights in the evening, for an afterwork get -together with colleagues, an aperitif with friends or a romantic dinner until one in the morning.

The lunch menu features a contemporary version of the grill, with carefully sourced meats, fish and seafood. In the evening, you'll be able to pick and choose from small plates, or share fine dishes over a large table.

As for drinks, Sterling Hudson, ex-bartender of the Moonshiner, will prepare low cocktails for lunch and real signature cocktails in the evening, to be enjoyed at the circular bar tinged with copper highlights or on the double east-west-facing terrace that will open in fine weather.

In short, a modern, gourmet venue that's sure to wake up La Défense.
