The neo-bistro Jacques, in the 16th arrondissement, aims to update the classics of French bistronomy. On the menu: quality, organic and well-sourced produce, Sunday brunch, music and clever cocktails at weekends. In short, a small, intimate and friendly address, just the way we like it!

The 16th arrondissement of Paris is home to a new brasserie bearing the sweet name of Jacques. Headed by Benjamin Konrad, already known for his Eat the Road food trucks, he aims to give pride of place to French bistronomy. He named his restaurant after his grandfather, who ran the famous Maison Cordier and supplied the Elysée Palace, whose photo is proudly displayed above the bar.

In a chic, contemporary setting designed by architect Caroline Lejeune, Jacques offers a gourmet menu featuring French bistro classics, but not only...
All dishes are prepared with quality ingredients, from organic fruit and vegetables to Limousin meat, matured for 5 months and sourced from the Boucherie du Parc in Neuilly.

On the menu: eggs with comté cheese, bacon or truffles, the brick of the day, a Jacques Cobb Salad, a seasonal soup accompanied by tartines, a vegetarian curry, tagliatelle with black Périgord truffles (which we're sure you'll be pleased to hear about), as well as original burgers made by "Eat the Road" for fans, with no less than 5 burgers to choose from, all made with minced Limousin meat and served with home fries or sweet potatoes.
Let yourself be tempted by the "French Venice" with its multi-cereal bun and 18-month-aged comté cheese, or the "Westwood Cheddar Bacon" with its poppy seed bun and English cheddar.
These are available for lunch, with a drink and homemade chocolate sorbet or coffee, for €15.50.

A weekly menu also includes French bistronomy classics, with chicken or beef wok on Mondays and Wednesdays, pot-au-feu on Tuesdays, beef bourguignon on Thursdays, scallops on leek fondue on Fridays and an absolutely delicious lamb shoulder confit on Saturdays.

Drinks include wine (3 rosés, 3 reds and 3 whites), champagne, organic coffee, a house beer ( Jacques) or a cocktail prepared by Australian mixologist Edward. You can sip them until 2am!

Add to this the Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at €25, live music on Friday and Saturday evenings and the lovely sunny terrace, and you've got a spot to try out very soon!
Jacques is open from breakfast at 8:30am to the last cocktail at 2am .

We really liked this intimate yet friendly address. It's a great place to eat without breaking the bank, and you can drop in at any time of day.
It's something that's been missing in this part of the 16th arrondissement. Thank you to Benjamin for this great idea and his warm welcome!

Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
