The Le Sarah Bernhardt brasserie has had a facelift, and an air of the Belle Epoque is once again blowing across the Place du Châtelet. Time seems to have stood still in the late 19th or early 20th century.
Once past the elegant veranda, you'll discover bevelled mirrors, imposing chandeliers, Second Empire-style sconces, dark, elegant banquettes and a beautiful staircase in solid period wood with wrought-iron scrolls.
Flowers, feathers and warm colors have their place here, and the pretty terrazzo mosaic frescoes the walls and floors of the brasserie.
On the sunny terrace, under the veranda or inside the restaurant, you can enjoy the typical brasserie fare: cocotte of veal sauté, roasted whole sea bream or AAAAA andouillette, the Sarah Bernhardt offers simple, home-cooked cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients. There are even vegetarian and gluten-free dishes to suit all tastes!
When it comes to drinks, you'll be tempted by the many classics such as Americano, Gin Fizz, Ice Folie's or Champagne Pick Me Up, in short or long drink versions, as well as by a few creations.
