This is not a dream: a ham and cheese escalope (or Cordon-bleu in French) counter is opening in Paris. It is called Amonē and it is located in Montmartre!

If you love cordon-bleu (a ham and cheese escalope), namely the perfect comfort food, perfect to face the cold winter months, or breakups, pillar of the traditional French cuisine and enjoyed by kids and adults, then remember this new place: Amonē, the first cordon-bleu bar in Paris opened recently in the Montmartre area!

And there is nothing quite like Montmartre, in the very ends of traditional Paris and touristic Paris to discover this major French gastronomy dish, right? The idea was given by Guillaume Verlet and Pierre Renaud, two cordon-bleu fans who wanted to revisit them with fresh and quality produces, like their grandmothers used to do but better.

On site or on-the-go, the modernized cordon-bleus by Amonē, costing between €9 and €10 depending on the recipe, can be enjoyed quickly in a dumpling version, perfect to prevent a mess. And a way to fall back into childhood with 3 permanent recipes and 1 seasonal recipe, sometimes classic or even very original.

Among the recipes of this new mono-product street-food restaurant, let us name the classic Gérard (turkey escalope, white ham, homemade cheese cream), the Babette (turkey escalope, dried beef from Galicia, homemade cheese cream), the Brigitte for vegetarians (plant-based escalope, candied bell peppers, homemade cheese cream), and the cordon-bleu of the moment (turkey escalope, Saint-Nectaire cheese cream, bacon).
