Exki is a green and fresh fast food chain, which offers pasta dishes, vegetables, pies and salads that are always good and low-calorie. Since 2007, Vélib' has allowed Parisians to travel by bicycle throughout Paris. Maison Vélib'EXKI combines these two quality ideas to create a hybrid place between fast food restaurant, exhibition space, cyber café and gym.
We'll explain: first of all, of course, you can eat there, seated high up in front of spotlights (for a little light therapy session during lunch) or at a table, between a library full of books and a photo exhibition on the theme of cycling. Then, you can start pedaling on a Velib, in front of an iPad where you can read your emails and surf the web. Newspapers are also available. A mini-shop allows those who are fans of Velib' to buy a kit with the effigy of the Parisian bikes or a book on the subject.
The place is vast and tastefully decorated, you can rest there as much as you can chat happily, with your feet pedaling and your phone charging on one of the many available plugs. On the plate (or rather, on the tray), it is good and not very expensive. The salmon tabbouleh is crazy, the quiche lorraine too, and, to finish, a small kiwi salad and we were happy.
All in all, a "healthy mind in a healthy body" kind of place. And for the bikers, addicted to the Vélib, a drive-in station, well in this case a "ride-in" station, allows you to recover your meal after having placed your order online. Nothing better for lunch: you cycle to Velib'Exki, and you have time to eat in a park during your lunch break!
Velib'EXKI has a solution for everyone, the sporty as well as the connected working women.
