Le cube à roulettes, the toy store that offers creative workshops for children, in St-Ouen

Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine is an increasingly popular city for families: located just north of Paris, it's not only well served by transport, but also very pleasant to live in. So, for some time now, the family-friendly side of Saint-Ouen has been developing: kid-friendly places, new crèches and, above all, places to take the kids, with activities planned for them, like Le cube à roulettes!

Le Cube à Roulettes is the brainchild ofÉlisabeth, a former toy store manager in the 17th arrondissement and mother of three. Since April 2022, she has opened the store she dreamed of: an independent toy store with products she selects herself, as well as creative workshops for toddlers and children, and birthday parties.

Knitting workshops, Lego painting, paper flower bouquets, dynamic readings... Élisabeth publishes the schedule of the month's workshops directly on the rolling cube 's Instagram account, and for each one she likes to put recycling at the center of the workshop, to raise awareness of this cause among the youngest too. "The idea was to differentiate ourselves from a classic boutique, by offering workshops for children and privatizations for birthdays", explains the manager of the premises.

For toddlers aged 12 under to 3 years, baby workshops are usually held on weekday mornings, so that nannies can also bring them along. For older children, it's Saturday morning. What's more, Élisabeth (strongly) recommends taking advantage of the kid-friendly brunch at the Social Bar in Saint-Ouen, on Saturdays and Sundays, for a really fun family day out, even with little ones. As for prices, workshops (one hour each) cost €10 per child, and you get a free session if you buy a ten-workshop loyalty card.

Le cube à roulettes is also the place to celebrate your child's birthday. For €250, you take over the boutique for 2h30, Élisabeth organizes an event on the theme chosen by the child, the cake is made by a Saint-Ouen pastry chef, and drinks and decorations are included. Then it's off to the store's basement for the kids' boum party, complete with disco ball and loud music! The cube on wheels accommodates a maximum of eight children for a birthday party, and parents can enjoy 2h30 of peace and quiet while the kids have fun.
