The Panthéon is inviting families to discover its history and famous tenants through a strolling show, on the occasion of the national event Contes et Histoires 2024, from January 2 to 4, 2025.

The national event Contes et Histoires returns to the Panthéon on January 2, 3 and 4, 2025. For this new edition, the monument located in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Paris offers an immersive and entertaining stroll, accompanied by actors. An opportunity for children - and parents alike - to discover the great men and women of our time.

The Panthéon is a monument to the great figures who have left their lasting mark on French history. Great men and women are buried here so that their work and legacy can be celebrated and commemorated. These include Victor Hugo, Simone Veil, Voltaire, Louis Braille, Pierre and Marie Curie, Jean Moulin, Alexandre Dumas... In all, more than 80 personalities are highlighted.

The Contes et Histoires event opens the doors of monuments to families. To mark the occasion, the Panthéon is organizing an unusual activity designed to attract the attention of young visitors, while introducing them to the history and mission of this emblematic Parisian landmark.

On January 2, 3 and 4, 2025, families are invited to take part in an interactive walk in the footsteps of the Great Men buried at the Panthéon. Here's the program for the event:

  • Contes et Histoires 2024
Join your family for "La dernière marche" (The Last Walk), an in situ tale about memory, a colorful and mischievous theatrical journey whose main character is an emblematic figure from the Luxembourg district. Si! Yes, we are! We're sure you've already met her!
Suzanne, a very, very old immortal, has the ability to talk to the giants of the Pantheon, and thereby perpetuate their memory, and therefore their lives. One morning, she receives a strange postcard, a mysterious message. The Giants urgently need her: one of their own has disappeared, his memory is fading... He must be helped. Suzanne takes us on an interactive, sensory tour of the Pantheon, in search of the Giant to save from oblivion.
We'll rub shoulders with Monsieur Braille, Mesdames Joséphine Baker and Geneviève de Gaulle-Anthonioz, Monsieur Arouet, otherwise known as Voltaire, Messieurs Ordener and Tronchet...
    January 2, 3 and 4, 2025 at 11am and 3pm
Prices Included in monument admission. Free for children under 26

A fascinating walk to discover during the Christmas vacations. Please note that reservations are required, and entry is free for children only! Enjoy this wonderful discovery with your family.
