On Saturday, December 14, the Marché des Cuisines du Monde special Christmas event takes over the Place de la Bastille for a gourmet tour of the world without leaving the capital! This gourmet event, sponsored by Guillaume Gomez, ambassador of French gastronomy, promises total immersion in the culinary heritage of almost 50 different countries, with tastings and entertainment!

After the huge success of its first edition, with over 50 countries and regions, thousands of visitors, and a festive atmosphere of friendship between peoples in the heart of Paris, the Marché des Cuisines du Monde returns to the Bastille on Saturday December 14, 2024.

As soon as it opened, the aisles of the Bastille market were invaded by the scents, music and dances of the five continents, attracting gourmets in search of gastronomic discoveries.

Each stand represents a particular heritage, with authentic dishes, rare spices and traditional beverages. From Colombian arepas to Polish herrings, Iberian ham to Filipino kwek kwek, Paraguayan kebabs to Burkinabe babenda, this culinary journey has quickly become a popular celebration.

Symbolizing exchanges between France and the rest of the world, the central aisle featured a selection of Produit en Île-de-France label producers, as well as a number of Fabriqué à Paris label artisans.

The culinary workshops, led by chefs from the Association Française des Maîtres Restaurateurs, celebrated the inclusion of social and cultural practices in Bistrots and Cafés in France on the list of intangible cultural heritage.

Sponsored by Guillaume Gomez, France's Ambassador of Gastronomy, the Marché des Cuisines du Monde is open to all from 10am to 8pm, with a rich program of cooking demonstrations, dances and presentations of the latest culinary works.

It is co-organized by Groupe Bensi doun, experts in market management in France and abroad for four generations, Agora Expo, organizer of the Village International de la Gastronomie, and La Mission Française du Patrimoine et des Cultures Alimentaires, in partnership with the City of Paris, the Rungis International Market, the Île-de-France Region, the Maîtres Restaurateurs de France, and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
