March 8 is a day to celebrate women's rights while continuing to fight for those same rights. It is also a time to remember the names, the actions and the fights that some illustrious Parisian women have led for women. In Paris, you can already follow the footsteps of those who revolutionized women's rights, attend a conference or a concert... Or more unusual, discover the illustrious women who were buried in the huge Cimetière du Montparnasse, in the eponymous district.
The visit is organized by Les Aliennes, a feminist and cultural association based in the capital. So, see you on Saturday March 11th for two free visits open to all (one at 10:30 am and another at 2:30 pm), on the traces of feminists who rest in the Montparnasse Cemetery!
This event is proposed within the framework of the month of the equality between women and men organized by the Town hall of the 14th district: from March 1st to March 31st, 2023, several dozens of events are set up, the great majority free, to exchange, meet and exchange, with the equality between women and men in the center of the debates. Exhibitions, open-air sports classes, shows, café-rencontres, a slam night, a feminist festival of theatrical improvisation, board games, karaoke... Don't miss this beautiful (and very complete) initiative, accessible and open to all.
