The worlds of film and theater have lost one of their stars. Irish actor Michael Gambon died on September 28, 2023. According to his family, as reported by the BBC, he died of pneumonia. He was 82 years old.
Michael Gambon is best known for his role asAlbus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter saga. The actor reprised the role of the principal of the magical school in 2004, after the death of Richard Harris. He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1989, then a Knight by Queen Elizabeth II on December 31, 1997.
