Among the festivities awaiting us at the end of the year, the Place de la Concorde may well delight strollers. Indeed, this year, the Mairie de Paris (Paris City Hall) is planning to set up family entertainment and Christmas chalets from December 14, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Although these dates are still provisional, this call for projects is already shaping up to be a great way to celebrate the festive season in one of Paris' most emblematic locations.
Decorative elements, including wooden figurines and an urban forest designed by the city's services, will add a magical touch. Illuminations will enhance the festive atmosphere. Situated between the beautiful Champs-Elysées avenue, which will be illuminated from the end of November for the festive season, and the famous Tuileries Christmas Market, which delights the park every year, the park is sure to add to the magic of the festive season.
A dozen sales chalets will be decorated in the spirit of Christmas, some featuring products bearing the "Made in Paris" label. Among these chalets, three will be dedicated to small-scale catering, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy food in the open air, while one chalet will offer food products to be tasted on the spot.
Christmas Market program:
For the time being, applicants wishing to take part in this commercial venture can still submit their applications before November 4, 2024. These chalets will be operated on a commercial basis and will not receive any financial assistance from the City of Paris, as each operator will be responsible for the management of his or her space. If you wish to submit an application, the file must include a declaration of candidacy as well as a proposal for temporary occupation of the spaces. Everything must be sent by e-mail to the following address: dae-bee@paris.fr. The complete application must be received by 12 noon on November 4, 2024, and any questions can be addressed to the Direction de l'Attractivité et de l'Emploi.
We hope this event receives final approval, as it promises to breathe new life into one of the capital's most prestigious crossroads, which enchanted us with its Urban Park during the Olympic Games, while bringing magic and festive warmth to Parisians and visitors alike during this winter period.
