Work continues underground. This autumn, disruptions are expected on several metro and RER lines, including RER line B, lines 14, 13 and 6.
Line 10, which runs between Boulogne - Pont de Saint-Cloud and Gare d'Austerlitz, is also affected by these modernization works. As a result, users of this metro line will have to adapt to a total interruption in traffic scheduled for November.
In detail, traffic will be interrupted on the whole of metro line 10 on Sunday November 17, 2024, from 10pm until the end of service. Passengers are therefore advised to plan ahead for the evening. Several alternative routes are available, including RER line C and metro lines 4 and 6.
On its website, RATP points out that this work is being carried out to prepare for the arrival of the future new-generation metro, the famous MF19.
Like 7 other Paris metro lines, line 10 is getting ready to welcome this new rail metro, "a symbol of modernity, designed to meet tomorrow's challenges and today's needs ". And this MF19 train will be the first to run on line 10. This new-generation metro is scheduled to go into service in 2025. In addition, " certain infrastructures and station equipment will need to be adapted ", explains RATP, which points out that " this new rolling stock means that a number of elements essential to the smooth running of trains, from power systems to signalling equipment, will have to be brought into line with current standards ".
