If you'd like to learn this urban dance style, the capital has a few places where you can practice breakdance. So, why not try out this physical sport, the new Olympic discipline, which requires flexibility?

Have you already tried ballet and salsa and would like to change your style for something more urban? Or do you simply want to learn a sport that's debuting for the first time at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? Then discover breaking, also known as breakdance, which brilliantly combines flexibility and acrobatics on the floor! This flagship hip-hop discipline originated in New York in the 1970s, among the city's black and Latino communities.

Although this dance is much less widespread than others in the Île-de-France region, it is beginning to make a name for itself, with a number of courses and workshops offered by local clubs. Most of them are in Paris, but you'll be able to find a few in a region near you! For the curious who'd just like to try it before committing themselves, some clubs offer discovery sessions and demonstrations. So, would you like to try your hand at this sport, to understand everything about the Olympic Games?
