As the weeks go by, the 68thEurovision Song Contest draws ever closer. This year, 37 candidates will travel to Malmö, Sweden, to try and succeed last year's winner, Loreen. But before they can reach the final on May 11, 2024, all countries - except those in the'Big-5' and the host country, who have already qualified - will have to pass the notorious semi-finals.
This spring, the first semi-final will take place on May 7, with 15 countries competing. The second semi-final is scheduled for May 9, with 16 countries competing.
French viewers will be able to follow these two semi-finals live on Culturebox. These will be presented by a new commentator, Karl Sanchez, better known by his stage name Nicky Doll! The drag queen took part in the 12th season of the TV program RuPaul's Drag Race. At the time, she came 11th in the competition. Later, Nicky Doll was chosen as host and head judge of Drag Race France.
For the final, to be followed live on France 2 on May 11, viewers will be able to count on two regulars of the discipline: Stéphane Bern and Laurence Boccolini. Stéphane Bern has been France's Eurovision commentator since 2015. Laurence joined the team more recently, in 2021.
