Just a few days before the grand final of the 68thEurovision Song Contest, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has unveiled therunning order for the contest's two semi-finals, scheduled for Tuesday May 7 and Thursday May 9, 2024.
This spring, 37 countries will be competing in Malmö, Sweden, with the same goal: to win and succeed last year'sEurovision winner, Loreen. But of these 37 participants, only 26 will have the chance to take part in the grand final scheduled for Saturday, May 11. In addition, 6 countries - the 5"Big 5" countries plus the host country - automatically qualify for the final. In all, 31 countries will take part in this week's semi-finals. However, for the first time in the competition, the 6 pre-qualified countries will perform live during the two semi-finals, to present their songs to viewers and the public.
