With 31 countries now facing the dreaded semi-finals, 6 countries have already qualified for theEurovision Grand Final, scheduled for Saturday May 11, 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.

As in previous editions, the members of the"Big 5" - the five main financial contributors to the EBU (European Broadcasting Union), i.e. Germany, Spain, Italy, France and the UK - automatically qualify. Each year, the host country also goes straight through to the final. For this 68th edition ofEurovision, Sweden is therefore certain to take part in the grand final on May 11.

Germany: Isaak - "Always On The Run

Let's start withGermany. The country is represented this year by singer Isaak. The young artist previously made a name for himself on The X Factor Germany, before winning the Show Your Talent talent contest in 2021.

In 2024, Isaak sets himself a new challenge with the Eurovision Song Contest, which he hopes to win with his song " Always On The Run ".

Spain: Nebulossa - "Zorra


Spain, which is also part of the famous"Big 5", has also named the candidate who will fly to Sweden this spring. The suspense came to an end at the grand finale of the"Benidorm Fest". Up against 7 other candidates, Nebulossa made the difference with its song " Zorra ".

It remains to be seen whether this electropop duo, formed by Maria "Mery" Bas and Mark Dasousa and hailing from Valencia, will also seduce the ears of the jury and Eurovision viewers on May 11.

France: Slimane - "Mon amour

Once again this year, the French public did not have the opportunity to choose the candidate who will represent France at Eurovision. Instead, France Télévisions chose the artist, in this case Slimane.

Slimane is the author, composer and performer who won the fifth season of The Voice and has three albums to his name. The creator of numerous hits, including"Paname","Je te le donne" and"Ça va ça vient" (with Vitaa), as well as"Chez toi", Slimane is taking on a new challenge by taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest. In his bid for victory, Slimane will perform his song " Mon Amour ". This song will undoubtedly be performed in Paris in 2025 at theAccor Arena.

Italy: Angelina Mango - "La noia

Italy, also a member of the"Big 5", has chosen the artist who will represent it atEurovision this spring. And it'sAngelina Mango. The young singer, born in 2001, triumphed in Italy at the traditional " Festival di Sanremo " competition.

Thanks to her song " La Noia ", the 22-year-old artist will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2024, and hopes to win over the jury and viewers alike.

United Kingdom: Olly Alexander - "Dizzy

Olly Alexander: that's the name of the artist who will be defending the colors of the British flag this spring in Sweden. Already well known to the general public, Olly Alexander, real name Oliver Alexander Thornton, is a British singer-songwriter and actor. He is also best known as the lead singer of the group Years and Years.

With his first solo album due to be released shortly, Olly Alexander is taking his Eurovision entry to the next level. In a bid for the top step of the podium, the artist will perform the song " Dizzy ".

Sweden: Marcus & Martinus - "Unforgettable

They're Norwegians, but they'll be representing Sweden this spring, after Loreen 's coronation last year. They are Marcus & Martinus. They are twins, born on February 21, 2002 in Elverum, have published four opuses and have therefore won the"Melodifestivalen" 2024. Their victory means they can represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song"Unforgettable".

There's a slight change this year. Until now, viewers had to wait until the Grand Final to discover the live performances of the " Big 5 " countries and the host country. This year, these 6 countries will be able to unveil their shows in full during the semi-finals. Germany, Sweden and the UK will present their contestants' performances in the first semi-final on May 7. Two days later, on May 9, the other three countries - France, Italy and Spain- will do the same in the second semi-final.
